Miselwa “Missy” Ngamlana is an award-winning queer filmmaker from Khayelitsha. A former actor turned director, she began writing after tiring of long audition lines. Her film Eruption won Best Diaspora at the European Film Festival, and her debut Blind Spots is currently touring festivals. With a style rooted in lived experience, Missy tells raw, emotionally honest stories while also working on major productions like Queen Modjadji and Uhlanjululo.
