Yohann Kouam, after studying film at I.A.D. in Belgium, lived in cities such as Berlin and Barcelona, drawing significant inspiration for his screenplays from these diverse experiences. Immersed in different cultures and urban landscapes, he absorbed a variety of stories and perspectives that enriched his creative vision. Following the creation of four short films, Yohann felt compelled to radically rethink his filmmaking approach, seeking a deeper, more introspective method of storytelling. This period of reflection and artistic exploration led to the inception of “After Dawn,” his first project born from this profound introspection. “After Dawn” marks a significant evolution in his career, showcasing his commitment to exploring new narrative techniques and visual styles.
